Information Literacy 101: Section 2

Assignments

You will have assigned readings, weekly journals, and brief assignments for this class.  The major focus of your efforts will be an I-Search paper due at the end of the semester.

Reading Assignments:

Reading assignments will provide background for class discussions and activities.  Reading assignments for a specific date should be done before the class occurs.   Quizzes will include material from these assignments.  Links to reading assigments will appear on the class Calendar.

Weekly Journals:

I expect you to submit weekly journals about this class:     Journal Instructions

Brief Assignments:

You will turn in short assignments in a variety of formats:  paper,  e-mail messages, e-mail file attachment, and by Campus Inbox.  All assignments should list your name and the name of the assignment.  All assignments are considered to be official communications. Use proper grammar and spelling.    Links to individual assignments will appear on the class Calendar.

Follow instructions carefully.  Failure to complete all portions of an assignment, or turning in an assignment late, will affect your grade. If you need an extension, ask!!

I-Search Paper:

The I-Search Paper is the most important project you will work on this semester.   The drafts and final version will account for approximately 1/3 of your grade:  I-Search Paper Instructions
