My wife and I have a 10 year old chinchilla. We've had him since he was 10 months old, and have become rather attached to the little guy.

I'm also a fan of Cecil Adams. Unfortunately none of the local papers will carry his column, The Straight Dope, which at times takes a no-holds-barred approach.

Norm, Kevin, Tom, Richard, and all the gang at WGBH in Boston have finally gotten around to putting up a web site. This Old House is by far the best of home repair shows. They are skilled craftsman who happen to do a TV show, rather than actors who want to repair houses. Quality TV in this day and age. Geez, who would've thought........
 

Like many successful shows, This Old House has produced a spinoff, or companion show. New Yankee Workshop highlights the talents of Norm as he makes a wide variety of objects. While it's quite interesting to watch, I certainly don't have the ability, (or the power tools) to try this sort of thing for myself. Maybe one day.......
